      This course offers architects and design professionals a comprehensive understanding of how the elegance of stone can be harnessed within the framework of biophilic design to create environments that prioritize both sustainability and human well-being. Participants will gain practical insights and knowledge to integrate biophilic principles and natural materials into their projects effectively, fostering healthier and more harmonious spaces for occupants.

      By the end of the course, you will be able to do the following:

      1. Discuss the philosophy behind biophilic design, how it can positively impact the health and productivity of building occupants, and its significance in contemporary architectural practice.
      2. Examine the properties of stone veneers, including their durability, texture, and aesthetic appeal.
      3. Evaluate the unique performance attributes of lightweight concrete veneers incorporating pozzolan, and how they enhance the overall chemistry, longevity, and performance of stone in architectural applications.
      4. Identify strategies for integrating biophilic elements, such as stone veneer, into various architectural contexts to maximize their impact on occupants' well-being and connection to nature.
